Ok, I go here with my elderly parents because it's the only place where they will eat. Hey, for ten bucks or whatever it is, you can't complain too much. The salad bar is actually quite good (that's what I usually fill up on)...but the rest of the food is rather tasteless and mushy (perfect for the folks). I've had some kind of chicken alfredo pasta thing that was actually quite good...the taco bar has all the regular stuff (with "seasoned" taco meat that is not so well seasoned). There is chicken and fish and mushy vegetables that is just fine for the oldsters. It is what it is. The place is clean and the people are super nice (especially to my parents) and I am comforted to see the workers taking the temperature of the food with a thermometer...makes me reasonably confident that I will not leave there with food poisoning. Ok, so you can get full for ten bucks...it's cheaper than say, Panera, for a meal. Like I say, I get a huge salad and then get ice cream. The dessert bar is really very good...I'm tellin' ya, the coconut cream pie and cheesecake are excellent, as is the soft-serve ice cream. So, I'm just sayin', I can tolerate eating here, and it's good for the old folks, or peeps who are looking for a full belly for cheap.

Like any buffet walking into one is always asking for a case of food poisoning. Was shopping in the area and needed to fill the void. Walking in you get the familiar puke smell right away. They are still charging a huge price for the not included drink. The food selection is not all that great. We got there at the start of dinner and most of the items were pretty much dried out looking. The wait staff was very behind in the clean up of the tables, even though the were quite a bit of them working. The fried chicken actually was pretty good.

Most of the food looked dried out. They are too expensive to not be satisfied all you can eat or not. I definitely will not return. I will stick to Cracker Barrel which is relatively cheaper and way better food.

What a piss poor establishment! The hot food selection was Incredibly dry, and there was dried crusted food on 2 plates and a cup that I picked up in an attempt to use from what was supposed to be clean. Free paying $32 for 2 people to eat, almost half of the food there was not replenished, and you has to constantly ask for them to bring items out only to find that they were all disgusting. There used to be a time where the rolls there were delicious, but the one time that they brought a fresh batch out to the bar there was such an overwhelming smell of yeast that it made me want to vomit. Haven't been here since I was a kid and never again will I make that mistake. Oh not to mention the fact that one of their ghetto employees steal a bracelet of mine that had fallen off and after I tracked it down via my cellphone app, the wannabe Master P looking "manager" with the oversized fake diamond earrings smirked and said to my face "ain't nuthin I can do bout that" and walked off looking as guilty as he possibly could. Clearly OCB needs to pay more than below min wage so that their employees can stop stealing from their customers. BEWARE at all costs!!

Went there last week, enjoyed their new mini chicken pot pies so much that we commented on them to the waitress. She said they were new, and would be offered seven days a week! We went back today, and guess what? The only things in the little casserole pots were broccoli-and-rice with cheese or sweet potatoes with marshmallows. What happened?

I've been going to this location for the better part of 20 years. Mind you, I don't eat at buffets often, but when I did, it was almost always this location. It had been a few years since I'd been, but I talked my family into going. What a mistake. Upon walking in, I could immediately tell how far downhill this place has gone. It just looks old and grimey. We got to our table and I quickly noticed how dirty the floors were. This was just the beginning. After bellying up to the buffet, the plates and silverware were grimey, the food was not very fresh and there were discarded plates, bowls and glasses randomly dispersed throughout the serving area. Some with food on them, some without. The real kicker came when a patron decided they no longer wanted the completely full bowl of ice cream they had just prepared. This was at the beginning of our meal. By the time we left (about an hour and a half later, after sitting around and talking) the bowl of ice cream was still there, completely melted and spilling onto the floor. A hazard, no doubt. The thing that really bothered me about this, though, is that I saw at least 5 different employees walk past this bowl of melting ice cream, multiple times. At one point, two employees stood right next to the bowl and had a 10 minute conversation. They they walked away without cleaning it up or telling anyone about it. It's clear that the management staff of this location has completely given up. So why would the employees care at all? I recently watched the episode of Undercover Boss featuring Anthony Wedo, the CEO of OCB's parent company. After the show, I sent him a tweet about my latest experience at this location. He's been really responsive to what I had to say, so I hope things change for this restaurant, soon. With a brand new Golden Corral just down the street, OCB's days in Tinley Park are numbered, if things don't change.

We've been going to this location for the last 10 years and believe me you can see how much it has gone downhill, We were last there about a month ago, not dirty but not very clean either. They were out of so many of the food choices and every time you would ask, if there was someone there to ask, they'd say 10 more minutes. The customers were actually cutting there own meat because there was no one there to cut it for you. We were there for about 1 hour and at that point decided it was time to leave as they never did refill the foods, And whatever you do don't go on kids night unless you have kids. The noise level is so high and there are kids running all over with no supervision. Hopefully we will soon see some improvement because we always have enjoyed this restaurant and hope to be able to continue to utilize it. If not there is always Golden Corral just a few short blocks away.

Evaluated potato salad this summer for inclusion in the current menu. The two contenders tasted delicious and I look forward to enjoying more of this product. The lunch reward for participating in the assessment was also very good and the place was clean. I have enjoyed Old Country Buffet since its' inception in Illinois.

This place is dirty! The entire buffer line dirty! the refreshment area looks like it's never been clean. Dirty plates and silverware. Did not see anyone clean the areas. Food was not refilled. Same dried up chicken sat there since we got here. The OCB in Ford City is cleaner and staff more attentive to the food line. I've never seen such a dirty OCB!

I remember when Old Country Buffet was Old Country Buffet 10 plus years ago. The price was right and drinks were included. The food was very good and had many options to choose from and this was at any location. The corporation made a BIG mistake by dropping the price of dinner and the quality of food plus excluding the drinks. I remember when they dropped breakfast down to 5 dollars and dinner to 10 dollars it was TERRIBLE. All the good options was gone and just the simple basic food was served. If the corporation thought they could gain business well they LOST in the long run.

If you have a coupon this place is just O.K. I definitely would have felt ripped off paying full price. The only real cleanliness problem I found was they had a salad plate in the stack of clean plates with tons of salad stuck to it. It was clearly visible and 3 employees walked right past it, looked at it, and did nothing. I felt that warranted a picture so look for the picture right here on yelp of the nasty plate. The quality of the food is what you would expect from any buffet. It wasn't terrible and wasn't great. They were slow to replenish items that were running out or that were out completely, especially the steak and ham. This is what earned them 2 stars instead of 3. The only plus was they have a cappuccino machine (like the gas stations) but the cappuccino is very rich and not watered down at all. That was probably the best part of the meal. If I had another coupon I might give it another chance.

I like OCB because they do have a lot of vegetarian options to choose from. I like their big salad bar first thing I go to when I get there. Then later I load up on the carbs and veggies. The mac n cheese here is pretty good. I like the spaghetti and meatless sauce. I noticed this time they now have a stirfry section which I did not get to try. I like the blue raspberry slushie its really good. Overall this place is pretty clean that I've seen.

This place is lucky I'm giving it 1 star. As other reviewers have said this place has a huge cleanliness issue. Near the soda machine there's carpeting it smells like the carpet got wet and then dried but no1 cleaned it, it's a really bad musky smell. 2nd is I was sitting at a table noticed a worker sitting at the 1st table doing paperwork, now correct me if I'm wrong but shouldn't closer tables be used for customers? There was a really elderly couple that came in the place but the worker ignored them while they had to sit in back of the restaurant, she could've have given up her seat for them but she was rude in my opinion, she gets 0 stars for customer service, I did not want to write this review but they gave me no choice. I emailed them 2 days ago or so and have not heard back from them, so this is what they get a horrible review and if any1 would like I know this workers name just ask cuz I checked out her name tag. Stay away from this place oh yeah it's waaaaay over priced too.

It's good (the food)but it's definitely not the best...the waiters who take your plate usually take it while your still eating...and the food is cold on weekdays. The best food there is the mashed potatoes...pretty sad..

Thought I would give a different Old Country for breakfast this weekend. I guess the bad things that you see at any other Old Country you find at all Old Country's. The thing that gets me is that awful puke smell that hits you right between the eyes, no matter where you sit. The kids running around the steam tables, poking at the food with their fingers. And of course, the famous gimmick were the beverage is a extra charge.

I am convinced old country buffet has some sort of machine in the back that breaks down soybeans and reconstitutes it into whatever they desire. I'm not sure there is any actual other food used in the cooking process. Everything from the corn to the ribs to the ice cream has a similar bland taste. You will definitely leave full. But, not more full than if you had simply stayed home and eaten a bag of flour ... This is just my opinion. I could be wrong ...

After being away for a year or so, my husband and I went back to the Old Country Buffet in Tinley Park a few weeks ago. This is under new management and is soooo clean and the food is always fresh. The fried chicken is out of this world, the salad ingredients are very fresh & tasty, and the fruits and desserts are fabulous. We had ham, chicken, fish, meatloaf, beef tips, potatoes, mac and cheese, veggies, baked bread and just enjoyed everything we ate. The buffet workers kept replenishing the depleted dishes and the buffet areas, floors, and tables were very clean. The variety of foods is such that even our picky grandchildren have enjoyed this restaurant. We get 5 star meal experiences every time at this location.

If you want to stuff yourself silly at a great price, this is the place. Don't expect gourmet fare here, and don't expect everything to taste so good you're blown away. Walk in without high expectations, and you will walk away satisfied and full. Great salad bar. They also have 2 soups to choose from and a taco bar. The main courses vary by day of the week, so you can have a little variety each time you go. They will carve you a slice or two of ham or roast beef, although sometimes you have to wait for somebody to get to the carving station. The dessert bar can't be beat. Who doesn't like soft serve ice cream with choose-your-own toppings?

Good lord. At 38 years of age I made my first visit last night with kids in tow. Afterwords I spent the night with my head in the toilet!! I can't believe that no one else has posted any thing about this place!! Is it just common knowledge that It is such a filthy, smelly, no silverware or plates available kind of place that it is not even worthy of typing about it? Hey, management, you should really send some one in the bathroom once in a while to clean up the feces smeared all over the stalls. It was like I was in the ape house at the zoo!!!! Smelled like it too!!!
